Nurses and medics making a difference one patient at a time
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. – Aerospace medical technicians Airmen 1st Class Sarah Rodriguez and Alyse Luchaco, both from the 4th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, inspect an aviator mask using an oxygen tank in the Flight Medicine Clinic here June 20, 2011. Daily inspections are performed on the masks in the event aircrew develops air sickness or have difficulty breathing during flight they can be treated at the clinic. The masks provide 100 percent concentrated oxygen unlike normal oxygen masks and provide forced pressure to push air into the lungs.
