The African American Heritage Committee's annual African American Heritage Celebration Finale held to celebrate the contributions African Americans have made to America was held March 9.

The celebration's theme, "African Americans and the Civil War" boosted awareness of the distance Americans have gone to come together as a nation. It also highlighted the contributions African Americans made to the nation despite the fact that they were not always welcomed or treated fairly.

For more information about the African American Heritage Committee contact Tech. Sgt. Don Jones at 919-722-0525 /0526 or don.jones@seymourjohnson.af.mil.
