SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Seymour Johnson Air Force Base has commenced a no-notice active shooter exercise. The exercise is expected to terminate within the hour.
This exercise will test the 4th Fighter Wing’s ability to notify personnel, both on- and off-base, of an incident in real time.
Members may experience traffic delays with increased presence of armed security forces members and other first responders during the exercise.
Exercises ensure Seymour Johnson AFB Airmen can effectively complete the mission of the 4th Fighter Wing and are fully prepared to respond in the event of a real world disturbance.
