Warrior of the Month
1st Lieutenant Mark Honnen, 4th Force Support Squadron Military Personnel Flight Commander, recently completed a six-month deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan, where he served as the senior advisor to the Afghan National Army Assistant Minister of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Cooperatives Director and Plans, Policy and Operations Chief. While deployed, Honnen was awarded a scholarship through the Air Force Institute of Technology Civilian Institutions program, a prestigious award which allows him to attend a college of his choosing to complete his master’s degree in history. In turn, Honnen will serve at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s history department as an instructor for three years. (Courtesy photo)
