Seymour Johnson celebrate Mardi Gras

The 4th Fighter Wing Force Support Squadron hosted a Mardi Gras Celebration, here Feb. 25. The festivities included a cajun chicken cookoff, "Catch the beads" parade and a masquerade party.

Starting off the day was a cajun chicken cook-off in which the basic supplies were provided for the contestants. The judges deemed the 4th Force Support Squadron team the best. The team consisted of Staff Sgt. Jackie Rose, Sergeant Kimberly Hall and Airman 1st Class Heather Baugh.

Many base squadrons and organizations participated in the "Catch the Beads" parade decorating everything from floats to dogs as well as throwing beads, candy and masks to the onlookers.

The evening ended with a Masquerade Party at Eagles Landing, which included a buffet, DJ, beads, contests and prizes.
