Team Seymour plans for 2011 Wings Over Wayne Airshow Published Nov. 17, 2010 By Robin DeMark 4 FW/PA SEYMOUR JOHNSON AFB, NC -- Seymour Johnson Air Force Base will open the gates to the public for the 2011 Community Appreciation Day with the Wings Over Wayne Air Show, April 16-17. The show will feature the Air Combat Command F-15 Strike Eagle Demonstration Team and many other aerial and ground displays from all military services. The F-15 Strike Eagle Demo Team performs precision aerial maneuvers, demonstrating the unique capabilities of the Air Force's high performance aircraft. ACC's F-15E Demo Team members also exhibit the professional qualities the Air Force develops in the people who fly, maintain and support these aircraft. The aircraft is one of the operational fighters from the 4th Fighter Wing based at Seymour Johnson. In addition to military aircraft, civilian aerial performances and ground displays with family activities are available for all ages. Next year promises to be another spectacular show featuring aircraft demonstration teams, parachute demonstrations, vintage aircraft with food and beverages throughout the day. Announcement of the featured aerial demonstration team will follow the official announcement from the International Council of Airshows in December. During the two-day event, commercial sponsorship opportunities are available to market company goods or services.
