SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C., -- A tree branch lies in front of an F-4 Phantom static display at Heritage Park here as a result of Tropical Storm Hanna, which ripped through eastern North Carolina Sept. 6. Though the storm passed directly over the installation, no major damage was sustained. "Tropical Storm Hanna caused only minor damage," said Maj. Rob Grover, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron Operations Flight commander. "We lost approximately 12 trees and several limbs across base with some minor flooding in low areas. The winds also caused some power outages, but we were able to restore everything within about two hours. While 4 CES is responsible for most cleanup and recovery efforts, assistance by the 4th Logistics Readiness Squadron and the rest of the Wing cleaning up debris made a huge difference and got the base ready for the 4th Fighter Wing Change of Command ceremony Tuesday."
