RALEIGH, N.C. -- Master Sgts. Kathleen and Dean Parrish, 4th Force Support Squadron and 4th Fighter Wing Plans and Evaluations respectively, and their daughters, Grace, 10, and Lauren, 15, receive the North Carolina Medallion Award for volunteerism at the North Carolina governor’s mansion, Nov. 3, 2009. Gov. Bev Perdue presented the state volunteerism award to each family member for their service. The Parrish family donated countless hours towards training Special Olympics athletes in track and field. They also mentored young adults in the Smart Choices for Youth program in Wayne County.
