The main focus of the club is to establish a community of people wanting to learn and teach metalworking.

Seymour42 is a community of car enthusiasts who share a common interest in maintaining and/or upgrading vehicle performance, audio and vehicular aesthetics. They are a non-profit group and run solely by volunteers. They will host meets and also welcome interested non-members. This group page is open forum discussion about various topics, including races, cruising, shows, and tech help, and when equipment and service tools are available for members to perform and assist each other with DIY work, or community service activities.

Seymour Classic Cruisers (SCC) was founded to provide a place for those who have a passion for classic vehicles dated 1975 and older. Through networking, SCC hopes to increase base/local relations. The club currently holds meetings and Cruise-ins each month. During meetings, members discuss which car shows to attend, and future SCC events. Each event that the club sponsors will provide an opportunity to give back to the community. Information such as show dates/times, restoration tips, and general vehicle questions are discussed on our Facebook page. Our club webpage also provides additional information for members who currently do not have a Facebook account.
The competitive body building club is a place for experienced competitive body builders as well as novice competitors. It will be a way to share advice on diet, work out plans, supplements and general advice about the competitive world. It may also serve as a good support system as competitors go through their weeks of competition prep, prior to competition day. This club is open to anyone who has an interest in potentially competing as well.

We are still here and our club is a dance club for beginners to intermediate skill levels that rotate teaching and learning different styles of dance each month and also I am trying to get involved with dance studios and groups off base to get the information out to those who maybe want to learn, teach or keep up their skills. We have done Salsa, Blues, and Line Dancing. We will continue to rotate different styles based on who I can get involved.
Our goal is to create a safe and fun environment for Airmen and their families to ride dirt bikes. The destination of our trips all depend on where you, the riders want to go!
The 4SJ DJ and Producer Club offers History of the art and pioneers who crafted and made the culture what it is today. We provide a positive atmosphere for personal growth on each individual talent. We use cutting edge equipment and technology to accomplish these growths. (Even though we use this equipment, to be a member you do not have to own equipment). As a club we also support each member whether it is for hobby or serious Djing and or producing. If you're looking to jump into the music entertainment world the 4SJ DJ and Producers is where you want be.
The purpose of the dog club is to provide socialization for your dog while developing new relationships outside of one's normal work environment. Our club maintains the dog park on base, works closely with dogs on deployment, rescue groups, and local pet stores. We focus on being responsible pet owners, provide obedience training and tips, and developing a network to make military life with a dog less stressful.
Description: The club is for the military and local community members that want to start or are avid in fly fishing. The group would like to help others learn the art of fly fishing, learn new techniques or improve the ones that the club members know. The club would like to improve the river streams for the habitat of fish and other aquatic creators. The club is informal and is categorized as an "Unofficial Activity" because we do not have a constitution or bylaws, and there are no dues to pay. We meet every third Thursday of each month at 6:00pm to 6:45pm at E-Z bait and tackle.

Description: This is a tabletop Wargaming Club using miniatures typically ranging in size from 15-32mm with a focus on historical settings. Rules used are varied, but tend to try to recreate the realistic feel of battle (unlike Warhammer 40K/fantasy). No experience or models are required to join, just an interest in military history and a good sportsmanship attitude.
Seymour Johnson Home Brewers Club is a growing community of 73+ people that aspire to learn how to brew different styles of craft beer or make wine. SJ Home Brewers promotes the education and experience in making craft beer from scratch to Airmen at Seymour Johnson AFB. Our club aims to provide at least two events a month, which include a "Brew Day" and possibly a visit to a local brewery! Brew day is your opportunity to see the brewing process first hand from one of our experienced home brewers and talk to other people who have brewed or just curious about the hobby. In addition, visiting local breweries will provide further insight to our members on how a bigger scale operation works, and allow our members to taste some of North Carolina's Best Craft Beers! The purpose of the SJAFB homeschool group is to support military families that have chosen to home school, as well as promote home education in the Goldsboro area.
The group strives to create an atmosphere where each member can relax and openly talk about the blessings, joys, and challenges of homeschooling. The group offers physical education classes, field trips, get togethers, seasonal parties, and homeschool co-op classes.
The Seymour Johnson AFB, Hunting and Archery club offers education opportunities for new hunters (hunting basics, Hunter Safety Course, dress and skin wildlife, etc.), competition for experienced archers and a great opportunity for those who simply want to learn the art of Archery. The main point of the club is to utilize the current skills of experienced hunters/archers from around the base and infuse them into folks who are interested in the sport. Also, the club's intent is to share hunting information to help new hunters or younger airman get involved in the community. We have partnered with local civic leaders to expand our "limited" hunting access from here on base, to the eastern region. We are building a foundation with local and regional land owners to gain and maintain a lengthy relationship with them to improve/sustain our professional AF image.
The Indoc Prep Club is designed to help airmen prepare for the vigorous training they will encounter during their journey to become battlefield airmen. Some of the activities include 2-12 mile rucks, different types of swimming, and various works to prepare for indoc. SJAFB prep club is open to anyone wanting to train for indoc or to improve physical fitness.

Meets: 4th Saturday of the Month Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority caters exclusively to women of the U.S. Armed Forces. We meet locally twice per month. The first meeting of every month is business related and the second meeting is social. We have three objectives: Honor past female veterans, unite current female service members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and mentor future female leadership. Members with less than two years of military service are paired with a senior military member that has more time in service and wisdom to share. Members that are retired from military service are paired with new members who wish to seek similar career paths in the civilian sector. Ultimately, we aspire to create a bond of sisterhood amongst of female service members regardless of military status or branch of service.

Description: The Latin Dance Club is for lovers of the latin genres of salsa, bachata, and merengue. We teach basic to intermediate lessons. We encourage application of skills and growth for our members through attendance of dance socials/festivals around North Carolina. No partner is necessary to join. Dance has several benefits that may be attractive to you: improved confidence, low-impact exercise, improved memory, mental escape, improved balance, improved coordination, improved posture, networking, and most of all FUN! Meets: Last Friday of every month in the ALS auditorium from 11 a.m.-noon. During this time, the group leadership forecasts out PD lessons and solicits quality instructors to teach the selected courses. All PD lessons are usually taught on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of each month in the ALS auditorium.

The goal: To get as many riders on SJ together and ride as a group. Group riding is safer and helps build each other’s riding capabilities. As we have all started riding at different stages in life, ride different styles of motorcycles it is good to have a connection with in our base to help strengthen each other.
Currently there are ten members, ranging between active duty, ANG, AFR, and military veterans. We have paired up with a non-profit group here in N.C. called the Patriot Guard Riders. The PRG is a group of volunteers made up of people that hold a deep respect for the brave men and women, past and present, serving honorably and selflessly in the Armed Forces. With PGR we attend funeral services, when invited by the family.
As an avid motorcycle rider myself I want to help others feel comfortable on two wheels and enjoy the freedom that is offered with the wind in your face. Even during the winter months, we know there are several people still riding when it is not dangerous.

Officer's Christian Fellowship (OCF) is a weekly bible study and a local chapter under the national umbrella and prayer support of OCF headquarters, currently hosted and led by Capt. Austin Krohn and his wife, Emily (336FS). OCF is a non-profit military ministry in which membership reaches far beyond SJAFB: there are OCF bible studies and connections at nearly every USAF base, included deployed locations. This group is not exclusive to officers (enlisted members or civilians with a passion for military ministry are welcome!) but the group is dominated by officers and spouses, and it's mission to build up godly spiritual leaders for the military. Our group focuses on expository teaching, prayer, and the study of God's word together. Our current membership includes F-15E and KC-135 aircrew, LRS, SF, FSS, chaplains, and spouses, to name a few. Meetings are from 1915-2045. We also have occasional dinner nights and game nights. We would love to have you visit!

The Painting Club meets once a month to enjoy an afternoon of self-paced work. Members supply their own materials and ideas to create a masterpiece. Our meetings have even inspired some of our artists to paint at home! Any experience levels are welcomed as we can all learn from each other.
Our goal is to get together and go over fun, creative ways to decorate and organize planners by sharing stickers, washi tape, and other accessories.

The public health club consists of a committee that would participate in fundraisers accommodated by national healthcare organizations such as Red Cross, March of Dimes and local establishments. Participants must set up and host fundraisers, share general information to increase knowledge and safety in the public health community.

The Shady J Rock Climbing Club is focused on connecting climbers to facilitate ride sharing, equipment usage, and planning of climbs in the North Carolina and Virginia area. In addition to connecting climbers we also teach new climbers basics climbing techniques, ethical practices, proper safety procedures, and provide outdoors mentorship. The majority of climbing trips are to outdoor destinations such as Pilot Mountain State Park, Handing Rock State Park, Grayson Highlands State Park as well as other locations within a six hour drive. Most trips are multi-day to maximize the climbing to travel ratio.
Meets: Sat, 12 p.m. at Eagles Landing Roleplaying club, or tabletop gaming, is a great place to meet people that have the same gaming interests. Whether you play on occasion or every weekend, the club gets people together, share information, and find a group that works for you. Currently, there are a few ongoing campaigns and new campaigns starting as more people keep joining. Whether you are interested and want to just give it a try, or have to ask your spouse for permission to relive the glory days, you will have an awesome time! Tabletop gaming is a great way to unplug from computers and TV's. Sometimes, it's more about just hanging out with friends, being silly, ordering pizza or chines delivery, and enjoying a beautiful day. Game genera can go from Knights and Dragons, to Starships and Light Sabers, to Vampires vs Werewolves. Tabletop gaming offers a wide range of character development, storytelling, character interactions, and legendary epic-ness, no video game on any system can match. Disclaimer: Fair warning! Once you start playing, you will not be able to get enough. It is recommended to get your spouse hooked also.
The Ring City Rollergirls are a competitive flat-track roller derby league in Kinston, North Carolina. We strive to be athletes, practice good sportsmanship, and to be an asset to our community. In the process, we have formed a league that is as much a sisterhood as it is a team.
We welcome women ages 18+ to join us on the track and both women and men 18+ to referee. All ages are encouraged to participate as non-skating officials and, of course, spectators.
Practice times are every Monday and Wednesday from 1830-2030 at the Galaxy of Sports Skating Center on Hwy 70 (W Vernon Ave) in Kinston

Description: The SERE Augmentee Club offers training in wilderness survival, water survival, and other SERE related training to support SJAFB's monthly aircrew training. During the monthly aircrew training events, augmentees have the opportunity to work with DOD or state helicopters supporting SAR, CSAR and evacuation training. You will also have the opportunity to learn man-tracking skills from state troopers while acting as OPFOR. To qualify, you must complete the SERE PT test and the 3-day survival course. You will also have the opportunity to support our monthly water survival training and will be required to get trained at Buckhorn Reservoir and learn to safely operate our SERE boat and Jet-ski.

The Shooting Club is here to promote Gun Safety and responsible firearm ownership and use. You do not need to own a firearm to come to events, bring ammo or give a few bucks to someone that will allow you to use their firearm. Get connected with a good community that would love to teach everything from how to shoot, how to reload your own ammunition and special tactics shooting. Shooting is a great stress reliever and will teach you discipline. We also provide a professional, safe and fun shooting environment.
Everyone has the ability to learn, create, and grow, but in today's world it's easy to rely less on our own capabilities and more on others. The Simple Living Club focuses on bringing things 'back to the basics.' Through group discussions and DIY lessons you can learn how to take a more natural, self-sufficient approach towards your health and home. This club welcomes anyone interested in DIY home and body products, understanding how food impacts health, natural remedies, and homemaking and self-reliance skills. We want everyone to feel free to share their ideas and skills, and feel supported no matter what stage they're at.
We purchase, build, ride and modify scooters, go-karts and other small engine creations. If you can weld, are creative, or know your way around a small engine we would love for you to reach out to us.

The Surf Club is for anyone who enjoys the thrill of being out in the ocean and riding waves. If it's body surfing, boogie boarding or using the traditional surfboards, come out and join us! If you have never surfed before, don't get discouraged - you have to crawl before you walk! There will definitely be more experienced people out there to give you a couple tips. Most of the Surfing out here is about an hour and a half drive to Wrightsville Beach or Surf City. Lets all get on board with this and start surfing!

Spotlight Theater Company is a community theater company here on SJAFB. Our main purpose to bring theater and improv to the military community. Our company is open to anyone who has access to the base to include retirees, civilians, reserves, dependents and active duty members. We sometimes do community shows off base at local hospitals and fairs.
Meetings are held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the base movie theater when we have a show that is being produced.

The Warrior Women’s Network is a voluntary organization for the purpose of providing women and minorities a place to provide mentoring, research problems and solutions, and to provide those solutions to Wing leadership annually or as needed.
The Virtual Volunteer Committee is a networking group connecting SJAFB Airmen to virtual volunteering opportunities in the local community. We plan to host monthly online base wide events and biweekly on-base meetings.
The Seymour Johnson Volleyball Club gives an opportunity for military members and their families to either play a friendly game of pick-up, inquire about local leagues or travel clubs, inquire about coaching opportunities, or just find a camp. The clubs Facebook page updates frequently, and anyone with a question usually receives a quick response. Pickup volleyball games are typically on Wednesdays and Sundays, which are usually posted on the page with times. All levels of players are welcome.
