The following is a list of events taking place across the wing and in the local community:

- Due to the Mission Support Group change of command June 22 Wright Brothers Avenue will be closed from 7:30 to 10 a.m.

- The Air Force Climate Survey, allowing Air Force Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, APF and NAF civilians have an opportunity to voice their opinions to leadership, runs through June 22. Individuals who did not receive an email invitation to participate in the survey should email surveysupport@us.af.mil with the subject line "Need an invitation to 2012 AF Climate Survey."

- The wooden bridge on the 2-mile running track across from Tinker Field will be closed for major repairs June 25 - 29. Foot traffic along the 2-mile track can come up to, but not across or around the construction area due to vehicle traffic along Vermont Garrison Street. Pedestrians should plan to turn around before the bridge and head back in the same direction they came from. As an alternative, the 1.2 mile track near the 4th Medical Group Clinic can be utilized. - A Successful Relationships Workshop will be held June 28 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Family Place. To register, call 919-722-1123 or 1878.

- The Freedom Run 10k and 5k walk is June 29 at Perimeter Road near the Slocumb Gate. Runners and walkers should be in place by 6:45 a.m. and the event will start at 7 a.m. Drinks will be provided. Participants can park at the RED HORSE Squadron and Thrift Shop.

- Celebrate Independence Day July 3. There will be family-friendly games and entertainment including a kiddy land, water balloon war and live band beginning at 5 p.m. The fireworks display will start at approximately 9:15 p.m.

- The 4th Medical Group will close July 4 in celebration of Independence Day.
- The single Airman survey is open at http://surveys.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey?id=3089906  through July 6.

- A Dads -The Basics Parenting Class happens July 24, 25 and 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Family Place. To register, call 919-722-1878.

- Mandatory counseling is required prior to using tuition assistance. Military members who plan on taking classes soon or while deployed need to attend an initial counseling briefing on the first or third Wednesday of the month at 8:30 a.m. in room 102 of the Watkins-Das Learning Center. The briefing lasts approximately an hour and a half. Please note the briefing for the first Wednesday in July will be held July 5.

- Current students are encouraged to submit an application and project to compete for one of three $1,200 cash awards. The application period for the 2012 NAIMES Student Spotlight Award runs through Aug. 31. Applications must be completed on the NAIMES Student Spotlight Award form, which can be obtained on the NAIMES website at www.naimes.org

- An anger and stress group meets every Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Family Place.

- The Pre-Separation Briefing for the Air Force Reserve is given on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. in Building 4915, the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Office. This is a mandatory briefing per Air Force Instruction 36-3205. Airmen will not be allowed to out-process from the base unless they attend. For more information, call 919-722-2259.

- Wing In-Processing takes place each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Members are reminded to bring the following mandatory items to in-process: completed Duty Information Worksheet, sealed in-processing package and a copy of PCS orders. - MPS customers, why wait in line for DEERS actions and ID cards? Avoid peak customer walk-in times by making an appointment online. You may search by city and state; make, change or cancel an appointment and receive email confirmation. - The 4th Medical Group is offering walk-in sick call is open to active duty members in uniform at Family Health Clinic duty days from 7:30-8:30 a.m.

- The Seymour Johnson Air Force Base gates are open the following hours:
Berkeley Gate (1) - 24 hours, 7 days a week;
Slocumb Gate (2) - 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., 7 days a week;
Oak Forrest Gate (3) - 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., Monday through Friday
For large commercial vehicle deliveries outside of normal Slocumb Gate hours, contact security forces at 919-722-1211 or 919-722-1212.

- The 4th Security Forces Squadron Pass and Registration office relocated from building 2903 to building 5005. The new office is located at 1010 Vermont Garrison St. at the 4th Security Forces Squadron. The Pass and Registration phone numbers will remain the same, 919-722-0525 or 919-722-0524.

- Do you have an insight on how your work center can increase productivity or work more efficiently? - To receive a list of college scholarships available to Airmen, spouses and dependents email 4FSS.FSFY@seymourjohnson.af.mil.  

- Airman Against Drunk Driving needs a minimum of six volunteers to make up three groups, so no one has to drive alone. Anyone authorized on base, including active duty, reserve, guard, retired military, dependants and Department of Defense employees can use this service. AADD operates out of the Airman's Center, attached to the DFAC. Civilian attire is authorized. To volunteer with AADD, email aadd.ride@seymourjohnson.af.mil.  AADD is open Friday and Saturday nights, down days and holidays from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. For a ride during these hours, call 919-722-5633.

- The Installation Voting Assistance Office is open to individuals with questions about the upcoming election season. The office is located in the base fire department or can be reached at 919-722-7588 or 919-722-3840. Additional voting information can also be found at www.fvap.gov.  

Changes of command:
- The 4th Maintenance Group change of command is July 6.
- The 4th Force Support Squadron change of command is July 10.
