DoD civilian retirees wishing to access the installation must present an acceptable credential, such as a REAL ID

Act-compliant driver’s license and their retirement Standard Form-50, “Notification of Personnel Action.” NAF

civilian retirees wishing to access the installation must present an acceptable credential, such as a REAL ID Act compliant

driver’s license and their retirement AF Form 2545, “NAF Notification of Personnel Action.” DoD civilian

retirees and NAF civilian retirees are required to enroll their REAL ID Act-compliant driver’s license at the Visitor

Control Center for future access. Individuals must present their documents to the Pass & Badge Section at the Visitor

Control Center located just outside of the Berkeley Gate. Security Forces will conduct a fitness determination and a

Defense Biometrics Identification System (DBIDS) Card may be issued, upon request, and will be valid for a duration

of up to one (1) year. Upon the expiration of the DBIDS Card, DoD and NAF civilian retirees seeking to continue

access may request another DBIDS Card by providing the same required documents to the Pass & Badge Section,

who will again run a fitness check before issuing a DBIDS Card valid for up to one (1) year. DoD and NAF civilian

retirees may sponsor no more than five (5) accompanying individuals onto the installation and, subject to a fitness

determination, each will be issued a DBIDS Visitor Pass valid for up to seven (7) days. The number of individuals

and the duration of a Visitor Pass may be waived by installation’s Defense Force Commander.
