welcome, mib retirees

MIB Retirees

Welcome to the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Make it Better for Retirees Resource Page.  A little less than a year ago our base started a campaign called, Make it Better. Through this campaign we are informing Airmen about the opportunities they have available throughout the installation and the community. We are also making vast improvements to many of the programs that are already in place.  The goal of this page is to provide a one-stop shop for information you need to knowledgably gain access to and utilize your retiree benefits.

At Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, we appreciate our retiree community.  Your years of selfless sacrifice and service have molded our armed forces into what it has become today and has made our nation great. Seymour Johnson AFB is committed to honoring and serving you!

Legal Assistance

The Base Legal Office (919-722-5322) provides legal assistance in connection with personal civil legal matters to support and sustain command effectiveness and readiness. Under 10 U.S.C. §1044, the ability to offer legal assistance and legal services to the eligible categories of personnel is contingent upon the availability of legal staff resources and expertise. Legal assistance establishes an attorney-client relationship between the client and Air Force attorney and consists of Air Force attorneys providing advice on personal, civil legal matters to eligible beneficiaries. For any other legal concern, the Air Force remains the client of the Air Force attorney. On such other matters, Air Force attorneys cannot provide advice to, or enter into an attorney-client relationship with, individuals or entities.  Air Force attorneys, acting in an official capacity, may not enter into an attorney-client relationship in the following areas:
