The Seymour Johnson AFB, Hunting and Archery club offers education opportunities for new hunters (hunting basics, Hunter Safety Course, dress and skin wildlife, etc.), competition for experienced archers and a great opportunity for those who simply want to learn the art of Archery. The main point of the club is to utilize the current skills of experienced hunters/archers from around the base and infuse them into folks who are interested in the sport. Also, the club's intent is to share hunting information to help new hunters or younger airman get involved in the community. We have partnered with local civic leaders to expand our "limited" hunting access from here on base, to the eastern region. We are building a foundation with local and regional land owners to gain and maintain a lengthy relationship with them to improve/sustain our professional AF image.

Motorcyle Facebook Page:
The goal: To get as many riders on SJ together and ride as a group. Group riding is safer and helps build each other’s riding capabilities. As we have all started riding at different stages in life, ride different styles of motorcycles it is good to have a connection with in our base to help strengthen each other.
Currently there are ten members, ranging between active duty, ANG, AFR, and military veterans. We have paired up with a non-profit group here in N.C. called the Patriot Guard Riders. The PRG is a group of volunteers made up of people that hold a deep respect for the brave men and women, past and present, serving honorably and selflessly in the Armed Forces. With PGR we attend funeral services, when invited by the family.
As an avid motorcycle rider myself I want to help others feel comfortable on two wheels and enjoy the freedom that is offered with the wind in your face. Even during the winter months, we know there are several people still riding when it is not dangerous.
