The Seymour Johnson AFB, Hunting and Archery club offers education opportunities for new hunters (hunting basics, Hunter Safety Course, dress and skin wildlife, etc.), competition for experienced archers and a great opportunity for those who simply want to learn the art of Archery. The main point of the club is to utilize the current skills of experienced hunters/archers from around the base and infuse them into folks who are interested in the sport. Also, the club's intent is to share hunting information to help new hunters or younger airman get involved in the community. We have partnered with local civic leaders to expand our "limited" hunting access from here on base, to the eastern region. We are building a foundation with local and regional land owners to gain and maintain a lengthy relationship with them to improve/sustain our professional AF image.
