Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Air Force Aerial Events Support Program. This on-line capability was developed to provide active duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard operators and unit schedulers a near real-time capability to check which public events have been determined eligible by Air Force Public Affairs at the Pentagon, as well as those approved at the major command level, for potential operational support. The site also provides complete request procedures for military and non-military requestors, and is the single location to determine if a public event has been deemed eligible for support. An event eligible for support may not necessarily be supported, as flying units must carefully balance their real-world operations and training requirements with public affairs aviation event requests.
Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth and timely process.
It is recommended to start the process at least 3-6 months prior to the event.

STEP 1: Go to USAF Aerial Events Web site, click NEW REQUEST and fill out the DD2535 form.
Note: Print instructions, complete DD2535 form by entering information as prompted.
Note: We recommend having 2 names and their contact information in hand before starting.
STEP 2: Print the form, get signatures in the appropriate blocks, and fax the signed form to the FAA office: Federal Aviation Administration (Greensboro FSDO EA-39) 6433 Bryan Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27409 Tel: (336) 369-3900 Fax: (336) 369-3980
STEP 3: After the FAA authorizes and faxes the form back to you; fax the form to the Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs office at Fax: (703) 693-9601. Your event will be reviewed. If approved, SAF/PA will send you an approval e-mail. This is the e-mail SJAFB needs before forwarding to scheduling to request a volunteer for a flyover.

Please note, this does not guarantee a flyover, it does get you listed on our volunteer board. Requests must be received in our office NLT 3 weeks prior to an event.
