Shopping at the Base Exchange is the only place where the money spent goes toward strengthening your quality of life while saving you money.

Providing quality goods and services at competitively low prices is not the only goal of the Army Air Force Exchange Service.

Its other goal includes generating earnings to support military morale, welfare, and recreation programs.

During last year alone, $440,942 came back to improve Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

"Some of the dividends are used for entertainment events, advertising and promotional strategies, utilities, telephone services and some payroll items," said Chief Master Sgt. Glenn Snyder, 4th Services Squadron.

In addition to MWR programs, there are many reasons why AAFES is Team Seymour's first choice.

The compare and save program is another incentive offered by the Base Exchange.

"If you see a local competitor's prices that are a better deal, bring it to us and we will reduce our price of the product while still offering it as tax free," said Paula Henderson, Base Exchange general manager.

AAFES is a tax-free center that offers its services in retail stores, through catalog and online in more than 3,100 facilities, 30 countries, five U.S. territories and 49 states.

In addition, shopping will not only fund MWR programs, it will help build new stores and renovate existing ones.
