Simply Seymour's simplifies services

Simply Seymour's is changing the way it does business to enhance the way it serves its customers during the lunch hour rush.

Originally, customers dining at the restaurant would wait to be seated by a server who would also take their order. At the end of their meal, customers would go to the cash register to pay, sometimes resulting in a line and increased wait time.

To improve their services a new method to improve time efficiency for its diners is being introduced.

Simply Seymour's offers faster service guaranteed, said Maj. Fernando Martinez, 4th Services Squadron commander. "No waiting to be seated. No waiting for a waitress to take your order. No waiting in line to pay after your meal."

Now customers who arrive can expect to place orders and pay at the same time at the new customer service desk. Customers will receive a cup for drinks, which will now be self served, and a number, which will identify the order. Customers then find a suitable seat convenience.

This process will save labor production and wait times, which could result in the restaurant being able to serve more customers in a timely manner, increasing the number of diners they see each day.

"We expect the changes to improve the experience at Simply Seymour's by saving considerable wait time for our community while maintaining that wonderful taste that we have come to enjoy at Simply Seymour's," said Major Martinez.

The new change will only affect the lunch schedule, which is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. It will not have any effect on call-ahead carry-out orders.

Friday night dining will remain full service. It will continue to be a sit down dinner with a server.
