Approximately 100,000 spectators arrived here to witness American air power at the Wings Over Wayne 2007 air show May 12.

The event was headlined by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels, who flew their first performance since the fatal crash of one of their teammates during an April 21 air show in Beaufort, S.C.
The F-22 Raptor demonstration team also showed the public the advanced capabilities of one of America's newest weapons of air superiority.

Other acts included Seymour Johnson Air Force Base's own F-15E Strike Eagle demonstration team, the Red Baron Pizza Squadron, and the Pearl Harbor reenactment, Tora! Tora! Tora!

Team Seymour Airmen were able to meet community members face-to-face at the air show.

"The Airmen were extremely courteous and helpful," said Betsy Rosemann, director of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce's travel and tourism office. "It was the best show ever."
