The following information has been provided by Air Force Personnel Center in an effort to clarify the career job reservation eligibility window for First Term Airmen (FTA).

Effective October 1, FTA will be considered for a CJR during their eligibility window only. The CJR eligibility window does not change regardless of whether or not Airmen have extended their enlistment.

Those Airmen on the CJR waiting list that do not have an approved CJR at the end of their CJR eligibility window will be removed from the CJR waiting list and separate on their date of separation.

The CJR eligibility window will open the first duty day of the 35th or 59th month of their enlistment. The CJR eligibility window will close on the last duty day of the 38th, 43rd, or 67th month of their enlistment. Please see below:

- 35-38 months for National Call to Service enlistees;
- 35-43 months for 4yr enlistees; and
- 59-67 months for 6yr enlistees.

It is very important that FTA know when their CJR eligibility is and whether or not they're on the CJR waiting list.

Airmen are encouraged to contact the reenlistments office at 722-4018 for further clarification or questions.
