Historic F-86H Sabre returns to Goldsboro
Airmen assigned to the 4th Equipment Maintenance Squadron repair and reclamation shop position rigging straps around a restored F-86H Sabre, Oct. 6, 2015, at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. The Sabre was originally designed as a high-altitude day-fighter, but was subsequently redesigned into an all-weather interceptor and fighter-bomber used by the 4th Fighter-Interceptor Wing, now the 4th Fighter Wing, during the Korean War. It was discontinued from active use in 1956. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Aaron J. Jenne)
