Colonel PAMELA E. DOUGLAS

Colonel Pamela E. Douglas is dual-hatted as the Commander, 4th Medical Group and Military Treatment Facility Director, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC. She leads an executive team and two diverse squadrons consisting of 257 Active Duty, Civilian, and Contract personnel and a $32 million operating budget. With numerous Primary and Ancillary Care service lines offered at the Thomas Koritz Clinic, Colonel Douglas directs the medical support and care necessary to improve and maintain the health and performance of the 8,800 enrolled and 38,000 eligible beneficiaries. The clinic ensures the global medical and combat readiness for 4,300 Airmen in the F-15E Strike Eagle Wing, including the Combat Air Force’s (CAF) largest flying program.
Prior to her current position, Colonel Douglas served as the Deputy Commander of the 99th Medical Group, Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, where she facilitated oversight of more than 1,800 personnel that provided service for 45,700 enrollees and 330,000 DoD/VA eligible beneficiaries.
Col Douglas began her military career as an enlisted soldier in the U.S. Army. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1999, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and commissioned into the United States Public Health Commissioned Corps in 2002. Following completion of her Master of Science degree in Nursing Informatics in 2003, she joined the U.S. Air Force through direct commissioning in 2006. In 2010, she served as a Surgeon General Healthcare Integrator Consultant and completed the Emergency Room and Trauma Fellowship Program in 2011. Col Douglas has impacted the lives of countless service members in indirect leadership positions and has commanded at the squadron level.
