SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Demonstration Team is scheduled to perform for audiences during the Wings Over Wayne Air and Space Expo at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, April 27 and 28, 2019.
According to their website, the Thunderbirds are the U.S. Air Force’s premier aerial demonstration team. Their mission is to perform precision aerial maneuvers demonstrating the capabilities of Air Force high performance aircraft to people throughout the world. The squadron exhibits the professional qualities the Air Force develops in the people who fly, maintain and support these aircraft.
“We are excited to see the U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds return to Seymour Johnson,” said Col. Christopher Sage, 4th Fighter Wing commander. “The Thunderbirds represent some of the finest pilots and maintainers in the U.S. military. Having them back for the 2019 Wings Over Wayne Air Show is exciting for the base and the local community.”
