Winter Weather Statement, Jan. 16, 2018

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow accumulations and very cold temperatures expected to impact central North Carolina beginning late this evening through 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018.

Currently, the 4th Operations Support Squadron Weather Flight is forecasting 1-2 inches here at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, with snow beginning in the early afternoon and ending Wednesday night.  Make sure your water pipes and animals are protected.

Please plan on reductions to visibility and difficult travel conditions. The latest road conditions can be found online at DriveNC.gov.  

Please ensure your AtHoc information is accurate and current prior to the arrival of the winter weather.
