Fort Bragg Fisher House in search of donations Published June 6, 2013 By Airman 1st Class Brittain Crolley 4th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The 4th Fighter Wing Command Post is collecting donations for the Fort Bragg Fisher House in Fayetteville, N.C. Since 1990, the Fisher House Foundation has been assisting military members and their families during medical crises. The Fort Bragg Fisher House is one of 58 existing Fisher Houses built by the foundation to be used free of charge by family members of veterans and active-duty Service members. The facility provides a comfortable home to help family members cope with the stresses of dealing with their loved one's medical conditions that require hospitalization. To continue to provide these services, the Fisher House relies heavily on charitable contributions. The Fort Bragg Fisher House is currently looking for the following items to be donated: Travel size hygiene items (male and female) Shaving cream Deodorant Small shaving kits Hand sanitizer Toothbrushes and toothpaste Laundry supplies High-efficiency detergent Fabric softener Bleach Food items Bottled water Breakfast items Soup Coffee, creamer and sugar packs Frozen dinners Sandwich ingredients (lunch meat, cheese, bread) Snacks (crackers, peanuts, popcorn) Outdoor items Grill tools Sandbox toys Chalk Bubbles Sports balls and equipment Outdoor pillows for 6 chairs Any other outdoor toys Miscellaneous items Disinfectant spray Liquid hand/dish soap Automatic dishwashing detergent Small writing tablets Stamps Copy paper Drop off any donations at the command post.
