Four days of geared-up gate guards, the giant voice, mission oriented protective postures and fluctuating force protection conditions can only mean one thing; Team Seymour's at it again with Operational Readiness Exercise Coronet Warrior 13-01.

Similar to exercises in the previous year, U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 4th Fighter Wing are being tested on their ability to transition from peacetime readiness into a wartime environment.

"We must be prepared to fight and win tomorrow's war," said Col. Jeannie Leavitt, 4th Fighter Wing commander. "It is time to get ready."

During Phase I of the ORE, many Airmen gathered their mobility bags, processed through the Personnel Deployment Facility and prepared cargo for a simulated deployment to Base X, all the while intelligence analysts and security forces personnel assessed and reacted to simulated threats made against the base.

As the conjured-up perils continue to increase throughout the week, more Airmen will deploy to Base X during Phase II of the ORE and see how well they're prepared to carry out the 4th FW mission.
