SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Team Seymour families came together for an evening of bonding and fishing during the Catch & Release Fishing Derby here, Sept. 9.

Volunteers stocked the Three Eagles Golf Course pond with bass and catfish for the event. Live bait, bobbers, hot dogs and drinks were also made available to participants. The derby, hosted by 4th Force Support Squadron staff, was open to children ages 3 to 18 and their parents.

Parker Landry, 3 to 4 age group, T.J. Ruffino, 5 to 8 age group, Caleb Burrow, 9 to 12 age group, and Ashley Going, 13-18 age group, won the derby by catching fish weighing between 14 ounces and 4.5 pounds. Each winner received a fishing pole and Caleb also received a $10 gift card to a local bait store for catching the largest fish of the evening.
