The 4th Force Support Squadron Auto Hobby Shop offers members of Team Seymour a variety of maintenance support.

Those utilizing the shop can either perform maintenance themselves or have the shop's mechanics fix their vehicles.

Those choosing to perform their own maintenance must undergo a safety brief from shop's staff prior to renting one of the 12 available bays for $6 an hour and come with a full toolbox.

On average, an estimated 400 customers use the auto hobby shop each month.

The shop staff offers a variety of maintenance services including oil changes, brake repair and wheel alignments. State inspections are also conducted on a first come-first serve policy basis and don't require an appointment. Labor costs $40 an hour and the staff can order and receive parts the same day for those in need of quick replacements.

According to John Barnhart, 4th FSS Auto Hobby Shop mechanic, the shop is all about helping Airmen save money. If someone can get something done for half price that's more money they save that can go in their bank or to their family.

On average the shop's prices are 50 percent cheaper than mechanics in the local area.
