Honorary Commanders Induction Ceremony

SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. --  An honorary commanders' change of command ceremony involving leaders of Team Seymour, the city of Goldsboro and Wayne County was held at Eagle's Landing here, August 7.

The 4th Fighter Wing commander, Col. Jeannie Leavitt, along with group and squadron commanders, from the 4th FW and 916th Air Refueling Wing bonded their organizations by passing their respective guidons to civic and corporate leaders from the surrounding communities. The guidons were passed a total of 38 times to the honorary commanders.

Working alongside base leaders, the HCC program aims to build relationships in order to educate the community about the operations of both wings and their vital roles in national defense while partnering to help improve the base and surrounding communities.
