In preparation for the upcoming Operational Readiness Inspection in spring 2013, the 4th Fighter Wing conducted its most recent Operational Readiness Exercise, Coronet Warrior 12-03, July 23-26.

The ORE tested the wing's mobilization and preparation from peace to wartime posture on a short notice tasking.

The ORE will prepare Airmen to be inspected during the ORI, which will grade every unit on its performance in a simulated deployed environment, to ensure they are combat ready. The grading scale consists of five different levels of performance, starting at unsatisfactory, marginal, satisfactory, excellent and outstanding. For the wing to receive an excellent rating, wing personnel must score an excellent in readiness and processing areas and at least two satisfactory in command and control, force protection and information operations areas.
