Basic Course students from the 333rd Fighter Squadron conducted training at the Dare County Bomb Range, here, July 11. During their training mission the aircrew practiced providing close air support while dropping training ordnance. The training is a part of the basic course student's curriculum that must be completed satisfactorily prior to graduating. The training consisted of dropping multiple concrete bombs on designated targets on the range, along with successfully avoiding simulated surface-to-air missiles. All 4th Fighter Wing F-15E aircrew use the Dare County Bomb Range to hone their close air support skills.
