SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- On July 4, 1776 the United States signed the Decleration of Independence declaring freedom from the Kingdom of Great Britian.

In honor of this, Team Seymour paid tribute to Independence Day by holding a celebration here, July 3.

The event included live music, food and beverages. Children were treated with a play area spread across the softball field, which included water slides and bounce houses for entertainment.

Col. Leavitt, 4th Fighter Wing commander, also made an appearance to thank the members of Team Seymour.

The event closed out with a fireworks demonstration at 9:00 p.m. lighting up the night sky.
