4th Fighter Wing freedom run

In celebration of the Independence Day holiday, Airmen from the 4th Fighter Wing participated in a Freedom Run here, June 29.

Contestants chose between a 10k and 5k run. The first 15 males and females to finish the 10k and first five males and females to finish the 5k received event t-shirts.

The winner of the 10k run was 1st Lt. Grant Bloom, 4th Civil Engineer Squadron section commander, with a run time of 42:11. Airman 1st Class Matthew Cotter, 4th Force Support Squadron customer support apprentice, finished 1st in the 5k clocking in at 19:25. Bloom received a trophy and Cotter received a medal.
