The 4th Component Maintenance Squadron egress flight repairs and restores the F-15E Strike Eagle ejection seats June 12.

The number one priority of egress systems Airmen is the serviceability of egress units. These units include the seats inside the cockpit, which in an emergency situation, safely eject the aircrew out of the aircraft and ensures their safe landing by deploying a parachute.

Every three years, these Airmen must strip down, inspect, refurbish and rebuild each egress unit.
