After 11 months of construction, the 4th Force Support Squadron held a ribbon cutting ceremony to symbolize the opening of the new fitness assessment cell on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., May 31.

The FAC was built to assist Airmen during their physical fitness assessment by giving those undergoing testing more room to work in. The facility's added space allows 30 Airmen to be tested at a time as opposed to 16 they could test in the past. The additional space this building provides will improve the fitness assessment timeliness and process.

The FAC staff conducts approximately 600 physical fitness tests each month. Augmentees will assist the staff conduct the increased number of tests each month.
