Airmen assigned to the 4th Medical Support Squadron meet pharmacy patients' needs by filling their prescriptions in a timely manner.

Pharmacy technicians fill approximately 700 prescriptions every day as well as supply medicine for all clinics on base.

Several of the prescriptions prescribed here come pre-packaged, which allows the technicians to fill them on the spot. Although technicians are qualified to count tablets for certain prescriptions, a pharmacist must perform quality assurance checks to ensure the medication is properly labeled and re-counted prior to releasing it to the patient.

Pharmacy technicians can fill prescriptions from on and off-base medical providers as long as the patient provides their insurance card and the medication is in stock.

The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. except on holidays and base-designated down days. It closes at noon the second Wednesday of each month for training.
