Airmen from the 4th Civil Engineer Squadron Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Explosive flight conducted gas chamber training here May 24.

The CBRNE Airmen took 4th CES officers into a gas chamber and released tear gas to allow them to feel the effects of a chemical agent and become more familiar and confident in their gas masks. The regular CBRNE course does not include the trip to the gas chamber because of the limited amount of tear gas capsules.

The CBRNE flight is responsible for training Airmen on the proper use of all chemical gear. The CBRNE course gives Airmen insight on what to expect and how to react during
a chemical attack.
