Team Seymour families gathered together to encourage children to have fun through exercise here, May 19.

Airmen and Department of Defense civilians assigned to the 4th Force Support Squadron held the America's Armed Forces Kids Run in conjunction with the Special Olympics.

This run was established in 1986 and has since become the world's largest children's running event. As part of Armed Forces Day activities in May each year, military dependants in the United States, Bahrain, Greece, Puerto Rico, Germany, Japan, Iceland, England and Italy participate in America's Armed Forces Kids Run.

Runners participated in half-mile, one-mile and 5k races as well as bowling and field games. Special Olympics children were invited to run during each race as well as participate in games afterwards.
