The following is a list of events taking place across the wing and in the local community:

- The 2nd Annual Air Force Sergeants Association Wounded Warrior Poker Run is June 2 with registration at the starting point from 8 a.m. until noon at the Firestone Car Care Center on Berkley Boulevard in Goldsboro. The cost is $10 a hand. The last card will be drawn at 5 p.m. Cars and bikes are welcome. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wounded Warrior Program. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. - Airman's Attic is having all ranks days May 23 from 9:30 a.m. - noon and May 17 and 24 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. This event is Open to active duty and reservists only. The Airman's Attic will be closed from May 25 until June 13.

- Drivers on base can expect traffic to be rerouted and delayed on Wright Brothers Avenue from Edwards Street to Humphries Street from May 21 from approximately 7:10-8 a.m. Please plan accordingly. For more information, call police services at 919-722-8102.

- Effective June 1, Wing In-Processing will be conducted each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Members are reminded to bring the following mandatory items to in-process: completed Duty Information Worksheet, sealed in-processing package and a copy of PCS orders. - Airman Against Drunk Driving needs a minimum of six volunteers to make up three groups, so no one has to drive alone. Anyone authorized on base, including active duty, reserve, guard, retired military, dependants and Department of Defense employees can use this service. AADD operates out of the Airman's Center, attached to the DFAC. Civilian attire is authorized. To volunteer with AADD, email aadd.ride@seymourjohnson.af.mil. AADD is open Friday and Saturday nights, down days and holidays from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. For a ride during these hours, call 919-722-5633.

- Run to Rescue it hosting spaghetti dinner May 18 at 6 p.m. and 5K trail run/walk May 19 at 8 a.m. Both events take place at Perry Farms in Kinston. The event will benefit She Is She, an organization that rescues and restores women and girls from abuse and slavery. - An America's Kids Run and Adult 5k takes place May 19 at the fitness center track. Parents are encouraged to run with their children. For age specific start times or to register for the run, visit http://www.americaskidsrun.org/events_app.php?location=78.  

- The Wayne County Soccer Club tryouts for youths ages 18 and younger takes place May 21, 22, 23 and 24 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Middle School. The school is located at 3209 Ash St. Goldsboro. For more information, visit www.leaguelineup.com/wcusc or www.facebook.com/wcusc

- The Seymour Johnson School Age Program Summer Camp registration is open until May 31. The camp, open to children ages 5-12, takes place at the youth center from June 11 through Aug. 24. Parents and guardians may sign their children up for the weeks of their choice. The camp includes field trips, weekly swimming, bi-weekly bowling and library trips, special interest clubs and open choice activities. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served daily. Camp hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The camp will not take place on federal holidays. Fees are based on total family income. For more information, call the youth center at 919-722-0502.

- The 4th Medical Group will be closed June 1 until 1 p.m., with the exception of active duty sick call from 7:30-8:30 a.m.

-The Wayne County Museum will be hosting a journalism exhibit through July 20. For more information, call 919-734-5023 or visit www.waynecountyhistoricalnc.org.  

- Brooks Street is closed through approximately June 4 for the re-construction of the intersection with Humphrey Street. During the construction work, Brooks Street will be closed adjacent to Humphrey Street. Access to the parking lots will not be impacted.

- The Installation Voting Assistance Office is open to individuals with questions about the upcoming election season. The office is located in the base fire department or can be reached at 919-722-7588 or 919-722-3840. Additional voting information can also be found at www.fvap.gov.  

- The Seymour Johnson Air Force Base gates are open the following hours:
Berkeley Gate (1) - 24 hours, 7 days a week;
Slocumb Gate (2) - 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., 7 days a week;
Oak Forrest Gate (3) - 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., Monday through Friday
For large commercial vehicle deliveries outside of normal Slocumb Gate hours, contact security forces at 919-722-1211 or 919-722-1212.

- The 4th Medical Group is offering walk-in sick call is open to active duty members in uniform at Family Health Clinic duty days from 7:30-8:30 a.m.

- The 4th Security Forces Squadron Pass and Registration office relocated from building 2903 to building 5005. The new office is located at 1010 Vermont Garrison St. at the 4th Security Forces Squadron. The Pass and Registration phone numbers will remain the same, 919-722-0525 or 919-722-0524.

- The city of Goldsboro is looking for participation in order to better the town and some of the surrounding areas. In 2012, the city initiated a planning effort to provide a creative and dynamic plan to guide the future long-term growth and development of areas such as; all of Goldsboro and Saulston townships as well as portions of Buck Swamp, Fork, Brogden and New Hope. To participate in this initiative and express your opinions, take the "Goldsboro Urbanized Area Comprehensive Plan Questionnaire," at www.ci.goldsboro.nc.
