In efforts to provide Team Seymour with an improved training environment, Airmen from the 4th Civil Engineer Squadron began replacing degraded concrete with newly poured slabs here May 3.

Several years ago train tracks passed through tent city. After the tracks were removed, the land was made into a place for combat Airman and skills training. This area is now known as tent city, a simulated deployed environment where Airmen participate in readiness training exercises.

Over time, the concrete at tent city cracked and the layout became outdated making it difficult for Airmen to navigate the area, especially at night. The reconstruction of this area will support the base's readiness mission and enhance maneuverability around the area during operational readiness exercises by providing an up-to-date training environment.
