An information fair was held on base at the youth center in honor of the Month of the Military Child, April 21.

In 1986, former Secretary of Defense Casper Weinberg designated April as the Month of the Military Child. The Department of Defense estimates that approximately 15 million Americans are children of current or former military members and during this month they are celebrated for the sacrifices they make in support of our Nation's freedoms.

During the event, members of the 4th Fighter Wing volunteered their time to facilitate games, hang out with the children and to ensure the safety of participants.

The children were offered a variety of activities to participate in such as a petting zoo, face-painting, a bouncy castle as well as performances by various off-base organizations.
