An opening event will be April 28 at 1 p.m. and will have guest speaker Carl Kasell of National Public Radio fame, with a reception to follow. The reception is free to the public. Three seminars take place during the event are proven reading development tips for pre-kindergarten through first grade, reading comprehension skills for second through fifth and developing effective study habits for middle school students. State Wolfpack is hosting a Military Appreciation Day baseball game April 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Doak Field on the N.C. State campus. As part of the event, fans with a military ID, their families and their children will receive free admission. Military guests can purchase discounted tickets for $3 at the gate. Note that a military ID is required to receive special admission and pricing.
