Veterans and military personnel registration begins at 10 a.m. so they can be recognized during the ceremony. Take this opportunity to spruce up in and around your facilities. Airmen performing cleaning duties April 23 are authorized the wear of ABUs. Residents of military family housing are encouraged to straighten up around their homes. There will be a MFH bulk trash pick-up April 27. - The USO is hosting military families reading and study skills seminars April 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Watkins-Das Learning Center. Three seminars take place during the event are proven reading development tips for pre-kindergarten through first grade, reading comprehension skills for second through fifth and developing effective study habits for middle school students. State Wolfpack is hosting a Military Appreciation Day baseball game April 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Doak Field on the N.C. State campus. As part of the event, fans with a military ID, their families and their children will receive free admission. Military guests can purchase discounted tickets for $3 at the gate. Note that a military ID is required to receive special admission and pricing. The event will benefit She Is She, an organization that rescues and restores women and girls from abuse and slavery.
