The following is a list of events taking place across the wing and in the local community:

- The 4th Fighter Wing Legal Office and Tax Center will be closed March 30 from 10:30 a.m. through 2 p.m. for an official function. For emergency assistance, contact the on call judge advocate general at 919-750-1203.

- Finance customer service will be closed for an official function March 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

- The Scott Berkeley Chapter of the Air Force Association will soon award $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school seniors and spouses beginning their college education as a first time college student. Applicants must be a dependent or spouse of active duty, retired, guard or reserve Air Force personnel. Applications are available at the education and training office. - The Science and Technology Academies Reinforcing Basic Aviation and Space Exploration program will be held June 18-22. STARBASE is a five-day math and science camp for rising fifth graders. Participants perform science experiments, build and launch model rockets, study Bernoulli's Principles of Flight and Newton's Laws of Motion, tour base facilities and more. Class size is limited, but children of base personnel have first priority. - There will be a scheduled power outage for the central dorm area March 31 from 0001 through 0800 affecting all dorm residents, the dining facility, the Airman & Family Readiness Center, the dorm chiller plants, the post office, the Airman's Attic, the Consolidated Support Center, Mission Support headquarters, the commissary, bank and the traffic light at Wright Brothers Ave. and Edwards St. For more information, call Chuck Dunham at 919-722-5540.

- The right lane entering the Berkley Blvd. Gate will be closed March 31 through April 1. The traffic flow will be minimized as construction is finished on the roof of the gate shack.
- Finance customer service will be closed for an official function March 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

- Physical Therapy will host an eight-week running clinic Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3 p.m. starting April 2. For more information or to register, call 919-722-1846.

- Step Up For Soldiers is hosting a 5k combat mud run April 14 in Wilmington, N.C. The obstacle run consists of 14 obstacles, four of which have mud pits. Event registration costs $50. All proceeds will benefit combat wounded veterans and their families. For more information or to register, visit www.stepupforsoldiers.org.  

- The 4th Civil Engineer Squadron will conduct annual unidirectional flushing throughout the base through April 16. This annual program ensures the highest levels of water quality are maintained. During the flushing period, base residents may experience discolored water and housing residents may also notice reduced water pressure not to exceed 30 minutes. The 4th CES's Strike Eagle Hardware Store has rust remover available to assist with stain problems in washing machines, bathtubs and toilets which may arise as a result of the hydrant flushing. - The wing's annual ice cream social will celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week April 18 at 1 p.m. in Heritage Hall. For more information, call Sherry Kindlesparker at 919-722-1123.

- The Top 3 is hosting an Air Force Enlisted Programs Fund run/walk April 19 at 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. and April 20 from 4-10 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Air Combat Command and 9th Air Force Outstanding Airman of the Year programs. - Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring a three-day event called Women Build May 10-12. They are seeking volunteers from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to donate their time any of these days. To volunteer RSVP by March 30 to Capt. Jessica Guarini at 919-722-2252.
