CFC 2011 wraps up Published Nov. 10, 2011 By Airman 1st Class Mariah Tolbert 4th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- The 2011 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is coming to an end on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. "The mission of the CFC is to promote and support humanity through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all," according to the CFC website. Team Seymour embraced this opportunity and surpassed the goal of $218,000 by more than $4,000. "The wing pulled together as a team in exceeding the annual goal," said Master Sgt. Kevin Stewart, a 4th Fighter Wing (FW) CFC representative. "It's always good seeing even the youngest Airmen taking some time to think about others who are in need or less fortunate." Whether it is $5 or $400, any donation allows the organizations to continue their mission in the community. "I've been in the military for 22 years," said Master Sgt. Jerry Woodard, 4 FW inspections and exercise coordinator. "Every year I have donated to CFC and every year, no matter what I am donating to, I feel good giving back to the community." Although the base personnel have stopped collecting donations in person, Airmen and all Federal employees can go to https://www.cfcnexus.org/_senccfc/ and donate to one of many listed organizations until Dec. 15.
