Members of Team Seymour and the Goldsboro community sold out tickets to The Paramount Theater in Goldsboro, N.C. to see the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band, May 19, 2011. The band has 45 active duty Airmen and all musicians auditioned and were accepted into the band before attending basic military training. The band was one of the original Army Air Corps bands, created Oct. 1, 1941 by order of the Secretary of War. The mission of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band is to organize, train and deploy professional Airman musicians, harnessing the power of music to inspire immediate, positive and long-lasting impressions of the United States Air Force and the United States of America in the hearts and minds of audiences worldwide. The band is currently stationed at Langley Air Force Base, Va.
