Team Seymour Salutes Tuskegee Airmen
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. – Colonel Patrick Doherty, 4th Fighter Wing commander, honors family members of Tuskegee Airmen in front of a P-51 Mustang during the 2011 Wings Over Wayne Air Show and Open House here April 17. The P-51 Mustang was flown by Tuskegee Airmen during their entry into World War II. Honorees are from the Wilson V. Eagleson Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen in Dudley. Colonel Doherty invited the group to celebrate the air show and acknowledge contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen in World War II and the history of the 4th FW. The organization inspires young people through social and educational activities.
