SJAFB announces two more bands to perform during Wings Over Wayne

Free concerts by The Garage Boys band and The North Carolina Revelers Orchestra have been added to the Wings Over Wayne community appreciation open house line-up April 16-17.

The free event will also feature performances by the Thunderbirds, the Army's Golden Knights and Seymour Johnson's F-15E Strike Eagle demonstration team. Other performances include Tora, Tora, Tora, a World War II Pearl Harbor reenactment and a heritage flight honoring present and past warriors with a WWII and Korea era P-51 Mustang demonstration. This will be followed by a 4-ship fly-by that includes an F-4 Phantom, A-10 Warthog and P-51 led by the F-15E Strike Eagle. There will also be a combined arms demonstration complete with a synchronized pyrotechnic display involving air and ground forces from each service paying tribute to the military's current efforts supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

There will be ample opportunities for guests to meet members of the 4th FW and 916th Air Refueling Wing, view a wide variety of military and civilian aircraft and watch aerial demonstrations.

Refreshments and souvenirs will be available for purchase. There will also be a number of activities for children to participate in.
