SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- Defenders assigned to the 4th Security Forces Squadron know training is crucial to their ability to protect base personnel and assets. The 4th SFS training flight staff ensures base defenders are able to stand by their motto of "be prepared for today and train for tomorrow."

The flight trains students on use of force, military law, combat skills, weapons training and more. Security force Airmen have several training they must complete biannually including use of force training course where they learn how to determine what level of force to use in a given situation. The wide variety of training the Airmen must complete allows Airmen to control any situation they may face at home station or while deployed.
