The Missoula Children's Theatre is hosting auditions open to students in first through 12th grade for their production of "The Frog Prince" Aug. 16 at 9 a.m. in the base theater, here.

Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show presented by the
non-profit organization based in Missoula, Mont.

This is a group audition - no advance preparation is necessary. Students should come ready to have a good time; however, they should understand there is no guarantee everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.

Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition. Rehearsal for some cast members will last four and a half hours.

Rehearsals will take place daily, although not all cast members will have to attend every session. Students auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role. Cast members will receive a detailed rehearsal schedule at the conclusion of the audition.

There is a $10 fee per child or $15 per family for participation in the week long program. Payment is due Aug. 16, following cast selection. Participants will have the option to participate in two enrichment workshops at no extra charge.

Performances of "The Prince Frog" occur Aug. 21 at 1 and 3:30 p.m. at the base theater. Admission is free.
