9th Air Force Commander's final visit to SJAFB

Maj. Gen. William Holland, commander, 9th Air Force, visited the men and women of the 4th Fighter Wing here, Aug. 3. The visit was part of his final tour of Air Combat Command bases before he retirees.

General Holland made several stops across the base to visit with Airmen to include the 335th Fighter Squadron, 336th FS, 4th Maintenace Group, 4th Security Forces Squadron, 4th Medical Group, the Personnel Deployment Facility and the fitness center. He talked with them about their quality of life, current Air Force policy and answered their questions.

During his visit, General Holland also took advantage of the opportunity to the fly in a F-15E Strike Eagle with the wing commander Col. Patrick Doherty. Upon landing, the general's jet passed through an aircraft hose down and a greeting from the men and women of the 4th Fighter Wing.
