The Heritage Hall parking lot was the place to be for bargain hunters and those hoping to earn some extra spending money during a multi-family yard sale here July 24.

Despite the heat, families spent the morning selling off their unwanted goods, some trying to create more closet room and others hoping to lighten their load for an upcoming permanent change of station move. Bargain hunters could find deals on everything from baby clothes to high heels.

"We always have a wide variety of items," said Mary Rowles, Heritage Hall community center director. Vendors are not only selling personal items but there are also lots of arts and crafts as well. They have crocheted towels and hand-made jewelry all at great prices.

The next multi-family yard sale is Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon. The sale takes place rain or shine, in the event of rain showers it moves inside Heritage Hall. The cost to set-up a booth is $5, six-foot tables can be rented for $3 each.

To make a vendor reservation call 722-0340 no later than Aug. 12.
